What's Our Process for Painting Cabinets?

1. Paint Selection: Our team will partner with you to identify the right paint for the job. We may opt for a special cabinet paint that provides a smooth and consistent finish while offering better surface adhesion, or we might select a high-quality all-purpose paint instead. We'll keep in mind your cabinet surfaces when deciding between latex acrylic, water-based polyurethane, oil-based, or alkyd paint options. Our choice will be informed by a range of factors, including durability, ease of cleaning, the goals for your space and the overall style you're seeking, and adhesive quality.
2. Preparation and Execution: If needed, we can disassemble and empty your cabinets in preparation for a job. As always, we'll clean and prepare the surface, sand down any rough areas, prime and coat the surface, and apply a finish. Given the easier cleaning and better durability, we may use a satin or semi-gloss rather than a glossy finish,  or we may opt for a matte finish if your cabinets are more prone to  fingerprints and scratches, such as for families with pets or children.
3. Review and Reassembly: We'll do a thorough review of our results and check for consistent, clean layering. Any detached cabinets will be rehung and checked to ensure premium operating conditions. .
